Michael has over 30 years of experience in Criminal Law appearing in all State (and Interstate) Courts and has proven record, representing some of Western Australia’s highest profile criminal cases with great success.

Michael graduated from University in 1992 and completed his articles at Talbot & Olivier in 1994. In 1996, Michael established Western Australia’s premier boutique Criminal Law Firm specialising in Criminal Law, Liquor Licensing prosecutions, Sports law , Racing and Gaming Tribunals and Stewards Inquires. He also has extensive experience in representing clients summonsed before the ACIC and CCC.

Michael has a keen interest in sports and supports local and interstate sporting bodies in varying capacities. He has previously been the Chair for the WA Rugby Judiciary. He is currently the Judicial Lawyer for the Western Force, the Chair of WA Water Polo Tribunal and is also a Judicial member of the Australian Appeals Tribunal for Australian Water Polo.

He has recently been appointed as an Arbitrator for Rugby Australia with player disputes.
